‏الخَنسَاءُ بِنتُ عَمرٍو (تُمَاضِر بِنتُ عَمرِو بنِ الحَارِثِ) (تُوُفِّيَت 24 هـ)‏

‏شَاعِرَةٌ مَشهُورَةٌ، وَفَدَت عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي قَومِهَا وَأَسلَمَت وَأَنشَدَتهُ مِن شِعرِهَا فَأَعجَبَهُ، حَضَرَت حَربَ القَادِسِيَّةِ وَمَعَهَا بَنُوهَا الأَربَعَةُ، وَهِيَ تَحُثُّهُم عَلَى القِتَالِ فَقُتِلُوا جَمِيعًا.‏
Al-Khansa' bint Amr (Tumadir bint Amr bin Al-Harith) (died 24 A.H.) : A famous poet, she came to the Prophet in a delegation, converted to Islam and recited some of her poetry which the Prophet praised. She was present at the Battle of Al-Qadisiyah with her four sons. She encouraged her sons to fight and they were all killed in the battle.

‏الرُّبَيِّعُ بِنتُ مُعَوِّزِ بنِ الحَارِثِ الأَنصَارِيَّةُ (تُوُفِّيَت 45 هـ)‏

‏صَحَابِيَّةٌ مِن ذَوَاتِ الشَّأنِ فِي الإِسلَامِ، بَايَعَت الرَّسُولَ (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ) بَيعَةَ الرِّضوَانِ، وَصَحِبَتهُ فِي غَزَوَاتِهِ، فَكَانَت تَسقِي المُجَاهِدِينَ وَتَخدِمُهُم وَتُدَاوِي الجَرحَى وَتَرُدُّ القَتلَى وَالجَرحَى إِلَى المَِدينَةِ.‏
Al-Rubaiyi` bint Mu`awwiz bin Al-Harith Al-Ansariyah (died 45 A.H.) : A prominent female Companion, she pledged her allegiance to the Prophet at the Pledge of Al-Ridwan and witnessed all battles commanded by the Prophet. She used to provide water to the fighters, treat the wounded and remove the injured and the dead from the battlefield.

‏الرُّمَيصَاءُ بِنتُ مِلحَانَ ( تُوُفِّيَت 30 هـ )

‏صَحَابِيَّةٌ جَلِيلَةٌ، أُمُّ أَنَسِ بنِ مَالِكٍ، شَارَكَت فِي الحُرُوبِ، كَانَت يَومَ "أُحُدٍ" تَسقِي العَطشَى وَتُدَاوِي الجَرحَى، وَكَانَت يَومَ "حُنَينٍ" مَعَ عَائِشَةَ تَملَآنِ القِرَبَ وَتَسقِيَانِ المُسلِمِينَ، وَالحَربُ دَائِرَةٌ، وَتَرجِعَانِ فَتَملَآنِهَا.‏
Al-Rumaisa' bint Milhan (died 30 A.H.) : A female Companion of great prominence, she was mother of Anas bin Malik. She participated in many battles: at the Battle of Uhud she provided water to the thirsty and nursed the wounded, and at the Battle of Hunain she, along with `A'ishah, would fill water-skins to provide water for Muslim fighters while the battle was raging, then go back to refill them.

‏الشِّفَاءُ بِنتُ عَبدِ اللَّهِ العَدَوِيَّةُ القُرَشِيَّةُ (تُوُفِّيَت 20 هـ)‏

‏صَحَابِيَّةٌ مِن فُضلَيَاتِ النِّسَاءِ، كَانَت تَكتُبُ فِي الجَاهِلِيَّةِ، وَعَلَّمَت حَفصَةَ (أُمَّ المُؤمِنِينَ) الكِتَابَةَ، أَقطَعَهَا النَّبِيُّ دَارًا بِالمَدِينَةِ، كَانَ عُمَرُ بنُ الخَطَّابِ يُقَدِّمُهَا فِي الرَّأيِ.‏
Al-Shifa' bint `Abdullah Al-`Adawiyah Al-Quraishiah (died 20 A.H.) : A meritorious female Companion, she was one of the few people who were literate in the Pre-Islamic era. She taught writing to Hafsah, the Prophet's wife. The Prophet gave her a house in
Medina, and the Caliph `Umar used to consult her

‏جُوَيرِيَّةُ بِنتُ أَبِي سُفيَانَ (تُوُفِّيَت 54 هـ)‏

‏مُجَاهِدَةٌ جَلِيلَةٌ، جَاهَدَت فِي سَاحَاتِ الوَغَى فِي وَقعَةِ اليَرمُوكِ، فَقَاتَلَت الأَعدَاءَ قِتَالًا شَدِيدًا، وَجَالَت جَولَاتٍ فِي الحُرُوبِ دَلَّت عَلَى فُرُوسِيَّتِهَا وَشِدَّةِ بَأسِهَا.‏
Juwairiah bint Abi Sufyan (died 54 A.H.) : A female Companion and a great woman who fought in the cause of Allah. At the Battle of Al-Yarmuk, she fought bravely and made great bouts.

‏خَولَةُ بِنتُ الأَزوَرِ الأَسدِيِّ (تُوُفِّيَت 35 هـ)‏

‏شَاعِرَةٌ مِن أَشجَعِ النِّسَاءِ فِي عَصرِهَا، وَتَشَبَّهَت بِخَالِدِ بنِ الوَلِيدِ فِي حَمَلَاتِهَا، وَلَهَا أَخبَارٌ كَثِيرَةٌ فِي فُتُوحِ الشَّامِ، وَفِي شِعرِهَا جَزَالَةٌ وَفَخرٌ.‏
Khaulah bint Al-Azwar Al-Asadi (died 35 A.H.) : A poet and one of the most courageous women of her time. It was said that she was similar to Khalid bin Al-Walid, a great commander, in fighting. Many stories are told of her bravery in the conquests of Syria. Her poetry was imbued with pride and marked by precision.

‏رُفَيدَةُ الأَنصَارِيَّةُ (تُوُفِّيَت 35 هـ)‏

‏صَحَابِيَّةٌ كَانَت تُدَاوِي الجَرحَى، وَتَحتَسِبُ نَفسَهَا عَلَى خِدمَةِ المُجَاهِدِينَ، أَوَّلُ مُمَرِّضَةٍ فِي الإِسلَامِ، حُمِلَ سَعدُ بنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ إِلَى خَيمَتِهَا يَومَ الخَندَقِ وَكَانَت هِيَ الَّتِي ضَمَّدَت جِرَاحَهُ.‏
Rufaidah Al-Ansariyah (died 35 A.H.) : A female Companion who used to go into battle to nurse the wounded and take care of the fighters. She was the first nurse in the Islamic era. When Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas was wounded at the Battle of the Trench, he was carried to her tent to be nursed.
